The international Afghan Enlightened Women’s Forum is deeply saddened by the recent earthquake that has resulted in the loss of life and injuries to thousands of our fellow citizens. It has also forced many families to leave their homes in the provinces of Herat, Badghis, and Ghor. This calamity is particularly devastating as it happened just before the onset of the cold season, and our people are already grappling with economic hardships, lack of proper services, forced unemployment, and other political, security, and cultural challenges. ..
